Every charge RailScanPro has made to your account is recorded in your billing history and available as a downloadable PDF invoice.
How to Access Billing History
- Sign in and go to Settings → Subscription → Billing History
- You'll see a table of all charges, showing: Date, Amount, Plan, Status (Paid / Refunded / Failed)
- Click Download next to any line to get a PDF invoice
Invoices include your billing address, payment method (last 4 digits), and a line item description.
Reading Your Invoices
Each invoice includes:
- Invoice number — reference this when contacting support about a specific charge
- Billing period — the date range the charge covers
- Plan name — e.g., "RailScanPro Hobbyist — Monthly"
- Subtotal, tax (if applicable), total
- Payment confirmation from Stripe
Downloading Multiple Invoices
Need several months for your accounting or tax records?
- Go to Billing History
- Click Download All to get a ZIP file containing PDFs for all invoices in the past 12 months
- For older invoices (beyond 12 months), contact support — we retain records for 7 years
Failed Payment History
Failed payment attempts also appear in your billing history, marked with a Failed badge. You'll see the date, the amount attempted, and the reason (e.g., "Card Declined"). This is useful if you need to verify when a disruption occurred.
Tax and VAT
RailScanPro collects applicable taxes based on your billing address. If you're a business and have a VAT/tax exemption number:
- Go to Settings → Subscription → Billing Details
- Enter your VAT number or tax exemption ID
- Future invoices will reflect the exemption
For corrected invoices on past periods, contact support.
